NICE are nasty

NICE are depriving some Alzheimer,s Disease sufferers of drugs they need, such as Aricept.

There is plenty of evidence that these drugs slow the rate of onset of the disease and improve the quality of life for the patient. To deny newly diagnosed sufferers is not nice but nasty.

The launch of these drugs brought hope to thousands. The actions of NICE and the cynical behaviour of the Health Minister delaying any final decision until after the General Election shows a total contempt for these people.

The Health Minister must act now to ensure no more people suffer.

NICE is that National Institute for Clinical Excellence or Not Interested in Caring for the Elderly.
